Turmeric Beauty Uses

12 Reasons Turmeric Is a Genius Beauty Ingredient

Turmeric face masks have been popping up all over social media, and this is one social media beauty trend we can get behind! Turmeric — and yes, you pronounce the "r" — is a spice commonly used in curries, comes from the ginger family, and is also used as a fabric dye. But it has a variety of skin and hair benefits, too!

For instance, turmeric is great for hair growth when you drink it with milk and honey. Or, alternatively, you can get rid of facial hair by using it as a mask and exfoliating with it. It's also great for helping with cramps during that time of the month and for a bloated stomach or puffiness under the eyes. Just beware, though — after trying it out, the turmeric did stain my skin a bright Simpson yellow until I showered!

Check out a few different recipes we love that include turmeric, then let us know in the comments if you have any favorite uses for it!
