Camila Mendes has a lot going on. You might recognize her from the little (this is sarcasm, it's huge) CW show "Riverdale" or from the Netflix movie "Do Revenge," which she starred in opposite Maya Hawke last summer. When the actor isn't busy plotting, scheming, and solving mysteries, she somehow finds the time to hold the position of creative director for Loops, a lifestyle beauty brand centered on face masks.

When we ask Mendes to play "Kiss, Marry, Kill" with her favorite Loops masks, she doesn't hesitate before firing off her answers. "Kiss Fresh Peel ($35 for five) because I feel [it] as a person would be really sexy, it's the exfoliating energy, active ingredient kind of thing; that seems to be a passionate mask," she tells POPSUGAR. "Marry Dream Sleep ($35 for five) because it's very comforting and what I wear to sleep many nights, and it's this layer on my skin that keeps me safe and protected, so that feels like a stable person to marry. And Kill Clean Slate ($30 for five), because I think it's the one I use the least right now."

Although her decisiveness indicates that she pays close attention to her beauty routine, the fact is, when she first started acting on "Riverdale," which is in its final season, things looked much different.

"I have to compensate for the amount of makeup that I wear on set and for the long period of time that I wear [it], so I've added more steps to my routine," Mendes says. "I use more serious skin care that I don't think I would've before working in the industry, because I never needed to then. My skin was pretty balanced pre-'Riverdale,' but now I'm clogging my pores so much that I run into problems and need products that are stronger."

She's also started splurging on big-ticket items, like laser genesis, a noninvasive facial treatment that her "Riverdale" costars recommended. "It's been great," Mendes says. "I've only done two sessions, so I don't think you really see results until later, but it's helpful for scarring and stuff or hyperpigmentation, things like that."

Still, in addition to the more expensive treatments, she has a few key products she uses every day to keep her skin in check. "In order to remove all the makeup and feel like I've taken off that layer, I would use exfoliant pads, the KD Wipe Away the Day Acne Treatment Pads ($37), almost every night," Mendes says. "That can be quite irritating to the skin, especially because my skin can be sensitive sometimes." Mendes says she always follows up with the Loops Dream Sleep mask. "I find when I use [Dream Sleep] with the acne treatment pads, it's a perfect balance of getting that outer layer clean and pure, but then [the mask] restores that outer barrier."

The aforementioned mask is such a favorite that she'd even elect to bring it with her if she were stranded on a desert island. "I feel like Dream Sleep would take care of moisture for the whole day because I wake up with [it] and it's like I don't even need to do anything to my skin." In addition to her favorite Loops mask, she'd also pack the Renée Rouleau Weightless Protection Sunscreen ($58) and the Eminence Clear Skin Probiotic Cleanser ($48).

As for who she'd bring with her on this completely fictional desert-island stranding where only beauty products are allowed? "My dog, Truffle," Mendes says. "I don't know how protective she'd be, but she's got these really intense teeth, so I feel like she might scare away some animals."
