Chrissy Teigen's Curtain Bangs Are Perfectly Retro

Chrissy Teigen got curtain bangs, so now we want curtain bangs. The model's hairstylist, Irinel de León, posted a picture on Instagram last night where Teigen's typically long, wavy hair was styled in a voluminous, high ponytail with the front pieces cut to frame each side of her face.

The caption for the photo reads, "Curtain bang moment in M I A M I w/ @chrissyteigen 🖤," but de León also added #fauxcurtainbang, so it seems Teigen may only be wearing the style temporarily. Regardless, Teigen has always been game to try new haircuts, styles, and colors and has been seen in everything from a chic lob to a razor-sharp bob and even blond highlights, so it makes sense that she would be open to trying one of the trendiest haircuts of the moment.

With the "Farrah Fawcett flip" making the rounds just a few months ago, it's only natural that other '70s hairstyles would make a resurgence as well. "Curtain bangs are making a comeback because of the '70s inspiration in the current fashion scene," Michael Bowman, a stylist and lead educator at Davines North America, previously told POPSUGAR. If you want to join the curtain-bang trend, Bowman has a tip. "A more modern twist would be to make the bangs a little shorter and textured in the center, so they can also be worn as a full textured fringe on days you want to change it up. This will also make it easier to grow out when the next trend hits." Or you can take a page out of Teigen's book and get faux curtain bangs instead.
