Gender-Neutral Nail Colors Are on the Rise This Spring, and We're Here For It

Just in case someone needs to hear this: beauty has no gender. Anyone can wear lipstick or eyeliner, no matter how you identify. Lately, though, we've been seeing an uptick in gender-neutral everything, from skin care and hair products to nail polish colors — and it's not slowing down anytime soon. In fact, experts predict that gender-neutral nail hues are going to be huge for Spring.

"I saw lots of dark, moody colors used on runways this season, such as black, dark black red, dark red, and dark purple," said Jin Soon Choi, NYC-based manicurist and founder of her eponymous brand. "Although anyone can wear any color they want, I tend to see men wearing these types of shades when they choose to wear polish. Men in nail polish is cool; Marc Jacobs always wears dark red!"
