We Bet You Didn't Know Jordyn Woods Has 13 Tattoos

In a recent Instagram post, Jordyn Woods embraced the quiet luxury aesthetic by opting for an open-back satin green Meshki dress that effortlessly displayed her back tattoo. And while many rightfully swooned over the sheer elegance of the star, we couldn't help but notice her equally sophisticated ink collection.

In case you didn't already know, the Woods by Jordyn founder has been steadily building her collection of body artwork since getting her first design when she was only 17. So far, she has 13 known pieces, with each design marking a significant memory in Woods's life. However, if you have a hard time spotting them, it's likely because most are either small in size or located in hidden locations, such as her dainty behind-the-ear heart outline.

Though all of Woods's tattoos hold sentimental value, she has admittedly never been one to overthink her ink decisions. "Almost every tattoo I have was out of impulse in the moment," she told Women's Health in a 2020 interview, adding that her latest script design on her forearm was a notable exception, as it was a friendship tattoo. Woods's ink includes a beautiful tribute to her late father and another piece that says "Forever" in her mother's handwriting, which Woods called her most sentimental piece.

From matching tattoos with loved ones, including the "M" finger etching she shares with Kylie Jenner, to a tiny ankle tattoo dedicated to her hometown, Woods's body artwork is a dream for every minimalist looking for ink inspiration. Read on to learn more about her lesser-known-about designs and the meaning behind each one.

Jordyn Woods's "What's Meant For Me Will Never Miss Me" Tattoo

In August 2019, Woods debuted a long script tattoo on her left forearm via Instagram. It reads, "What's meant for me will never miss me." The piece was tattooed by her brother and features dainty cursive letters that start near her wrist and run along the length of her forearm, stopping just before the elbow. The quote draws inspiration from the Arabian writer and theologian Al-Shafi'I's writings, with the entire passage reading: "My heart is at ease knowing that what was meant for me will never miss me, and that what misses me was never meant for me."

While many believed the design was in response to the very public feud she had with the Kardashian-Jenner family that same year following the scandal with Tristan Thompson, she later cleared that up. In a 2020 video interview with Women's Health, she said, "It's a good quote to constantly go back to and know that if it's not in your life, then it's not supposed to be there."

The Roman numeral "XXIII" is tattooed on the nape of Woods's neck as an ode to the legendary basketball star, Michael Jordan. She got the athlete's jersey number, 23, in 2015. It was done by her brother and LA-based tattooist, Joshua Woods. "Just landed in LA and decided to go get tatted by my brother @jwoodzart," she captioned her Instagram post unveiling the fresh design. "Wouldn't want anyone else to do this one for me. 23 forever."
