You may not know when you'll meet your soulmate, where you'll be in 10 years, or even which beauty aesthetic you'll prefer in the future. But if there's one thing you can always count on, it's the fact that there will always be new beauty-product launches to look forward to.
This month is no exception. There have been countless product drops promising to transform your hair, makeup, nail, and skin-care routines. Call it a perk of the job (or an excuse to fuel any hoarding tendencies, your choice), but to help you sift through the endless options, POPSUGAR editors have tested dozens of launches to spotlight only the best products worthy of a spot in your beauty routine.
Looking for a new perfume? Allow us to introduce our favorites from Armani Beauty and Moodeaux. Need a lightweight body moisturizer? Tatcha has your back with the latest from its Hinoki line. Best Makeup: Blush Tape Liquid Blush
"I'm a big blush girl, and the Blush Tape Liquid Blush ($35) is my latest obsession. The shade range is amazing, and the formula is blendable and long-lasting. It gives my face a dewy glow without looking glittery, and it feels silky soft against my skin all day long." — Renee Rodriguez, staff writer and social producer
Best Makeup: Saie Glowy Super Skin Lightweight Hydrobounce Serum Foundation
"If you don't like wearing foundation (like me), I dare you to try the Saie Glowy Super Skin Lightweight Hydrobounce Serum Foundation ($40). It's so lightweight you'll forget you're wearing anything at all. Unlike most foundations, which get dry as the day goes on, this formula is ultra hydrating. One layer gives you medium coverage but the formula is buildable. No matter how much you put on, though, it still looks like your skin." — Jessica Harrington, beauty editor
Best Makeup: Milk Makeup Sculpt Cream Contour Stick
"My girlfriend effectively steals the Milk Makeup Sculpt Cream Contour Stick ($24) straight out of my cosmetics bag every single time I use it, and I now have to keep hiding it from her. I can understand why, of course: not only is the packaging cute and bite-size (perfect for overnight trips or when you're rushing from one place to another), but the tiny packaging also makes the act of contouring a lot less intimidating, for which I am forever grateful." — Kelsey Castañon, beauty director
Best Makeup: Maybelline Super Stay Vinyl Ink
"What do you get when you combine a delicious neutral lip color, a long-lasting formula, and an affordable price tag? The Maybelline Super Stay Vinyl Ink ($10). The shade Captivated is hands down my favorite from the brand's Vinyl Ink line, and when I say it doesn't transfer, you'll just have to believe me. This product almost feels too good to be true, but the proof is in the pudding." — Ariel Baker, assistant beauty editor
Best Makeup: YSL Beauty All Hours Luminous Matte Foundation
"I'm not going to lie, I'm not a big foundation user. My daily routine usually consists of a swipe of tinted moisturizer, highlighter, and mascara. However, when I do reach for a foundation, I want it to still be lightweight and not make me look like I'm wearing makeup. The new YSL Beauty All Hours Luminous Matte Foundation ($60) is a great option, especially when you want a slightly more matte application. While it's pretty full coverage, it doesn't feel cakey and still lets my skin breathe. It also comes in an impressive 40 shades." — Aviel Kanter, director, branded content
Best Makeup: KS & Co. Microfeathering Brow Pen
"When the brow queen herself, Kristie Streicher, announced she was launching her own line of brow products, I nearly leapt out of my seat. If you haven't heard of Streicher, you've likely seen her feathered brow work on some of your favorite celebs (Alana Haim, Adele, Kathryn Hahn, and Kiernan Shipka, to name a few). Now, it's possible to get that full-brow look at home with the KS & Co. Microfeathering Brow Pen ($42). It's extremely fine, and the pigment is super subtle, so your strokes truly look like natural hair. I've never gotten so many compliments on my brows than when I add a touch of the brow pen." — AK
Best Makeup: Anastasia Beverly Hills Matte Velvet Lipstick
"The Anastasia Beverly Hills Matte Velvet Lipstick ($23) in Warm Brown is the epitome of everyday luxury. The color is my perfect nude — as in, I don't need a lip liner to make it work for my skin tone — and the packaging is so luxe that I feel like a star when I take it out of my bag. I love pairing it with the brand's new Tinted Lipgloss ($20) in the shade Soft Pink for a super-glossy everyday lip." — AB
Best Makeup: Iconic London Fuller Pout Sculpting Lip Liner
"They way the Iconic London Fuller Pout Sculpting Lip Liner ($19) completely stole my heart this month is nothing short of . . . well, iconic. These lip pencils come in the perfect shades to give that really shadowy effect, almost as if you're contouring your lips. My dynamic duo includes the shades T.T.Y.N. and Serving Lewks, and they give me that perfect Instagram lip without all the extra stuff." — AB
Best Makeup: Haus Labs Color Fuse Talc-Free Powder Blush
"The pigment of the Haus Labs Color Fuse Talc-Free Powder Blush ($38) is unreal. One swipe coats your cheeks in vibrant, ultrasaturated color that's also super easy to blend. The powder-to-cream formula melts into your skin, allowing you to really customize the final look. All the shades are stunning, but my favorite is Hibiscus Haze." — JH
Best Makeup: Juvia's Place I Am Magic Natural Radiance Foundation
"Juvia's Place's I Am Magic Natural Radiance Foundation ($23) delivers that second-skin effect, in bottle form. I'm a fan of more radiant foundation formulas, but since I have combination to oily skin, I have to tread lightly so it doesn't come off as greasy. This foundation offers a hint of glow without making my face look oily, and the packaging dispenses product sans the mess. I'm giving it 10s across the board." — AB
Best Makeup: Dior Addict Lip Maximizer Plumping Gloss
"The Dior Addict Lip Maximizer Plumping Gloss ($40) got a recent upgrade with the addition of new shades to the line. The color 016 Shimmer Nude is a wet-looking reflective neutral that isn't frosty, metallic, or too warm-toned, which is a combination that has been strangely hard to find for me. This one's never leaving my makeup kit." — AB
Best Makeup: Nars The Multiple
"Nars The Multiple ($39) in Orgasm Rush reminds me of my beloved Hot Tin Roof liquid blush that the brand discontinued. However, this version has a slight shimmer to it, so it also works well on the eyes and lips without having to build up any color. Extra points for the adorable pink packaging." — AB
Best Skin Care: Cay Skin Isle Lip Balm SPF 30
"The Cay Skin Isle Lip Balm SPF 30 ($14) is probably one of the more functional beauty products I own, but the texture is so luxurious, it doesn't feel like it. The balm has a sheer wash of color, is super moisturizing, and has SPF 30. Sun care has never been more chic." — AB
Best Skin Care: Benefit The Porefessional Smooth Sip Lightweight Gel-Cream Moisturizer
"The Benefit Cosmetics POREfessional Smooth Sip Lightweight Gel-Cream Moisturizer ($44) is simple yet so good. It's lightweight but still hydrating, and it absorbs quickly, leaving behind plump, supple skin. It's also not the least bit greasy or sticky, which can occasionally be the case with gel creams. My fianc has also fallen in love with it (and stolen it for himself), dubbing it the perfect moisturizer." — JH
Best Skin Care: Glow Recipe Strawberry BHA Pore-Smooth Blur Drops
"Glow Recipe's Strawberry BHA Pore-Smooth Blur Drops ($32) have easily become my go-to primer, especially if I want a lightweight base. The primer feels so hydrating and breathable; a layer of this seamlessly blends and absorbs into skin without feeling like it's sitting on top of it. Not only does it give me a blurred 'faux filtered' look, but it also controls shine throughout the day. Plus, it helps makeup go on smoother, and I don't need to powder or touch up as often." — Anvita Reddy, assistant commerce editor
Best Skin Care: Summer Fridays Cloud Dew Gel Cream Moisturizer
"I'm always in search of a good daytime moisturizer. My must haves: an oil-free formula that doesn't mess with makeup, the ability to keep me moisturized all day without reapplying, and no pilling underneath SPF. The Summer Fridays Cloud Dew Gel Cream Moisturizer ($45) hits all the marks. It's become a go-to in my morning routine since I tried it." — AK
Best Skin Care: Beauty Pie Youthbomb Double-Retinol Skin Overhaul Serum
"I've never met an acid I don't like, so the fact that the Beauty Pie Youthbomb Double-Retinol Skin Overhaul Serum ($170) contains two retinols is deeply appealing. It's also formulated with lactic acid, niacinamide, hyaluronic acid, and ceramides — basically all the best good-for-your-skin ingredients. Even with so much going on, it feels super silky, it isn't irritating, and I swear my skin looks smoother after just a few days." — Dawn Davis, executive beauty director, Vox Media
Best Skin Care: Caudalie Premier Cru Skin Barrier Rich Moisturizer
"I want to bathe in the Caudalie Premier Cru Skin Barrier Rich Moisturizer ($129), please and thank you. It feels so luxe, and it really works. The thick texture has been a lifesaver for my dry winter skin. Thanks to ceramides and hyaluronic acid in the formula, I immediately feel relief when I put it on, and my skin instantly looks dewy. I also love that it's refillable." — JH
Best Skin Care: Crème de la Mer The New Moisturizing Soft Cream
"La Mer is the ultimate luxury brand, and its latest innovation, a reformulation of the Crème de la Mer The New Moisturizing Soft Cream ($380), is no exception. I genuinely did not know hydration until I tried this product. It instantly gets rid of dry patches and flakes and makes my skin glow with seconds of application. It's pricey AF, yes, but a little product goes a long way, and it's truly like liquid gold." — RR
Best Skin Care: Cosmedix Prep & Reset Pads
"I recently had a facial where the Cosmedix Prep & Reset Exfoliating Pads ($65) were used on my skin, and I immediately fell in love. They left my face so smooth and my skin glowing. They include good-for-you ingredients like niacinamide, which helps improve the appearance of fine lines, as well as lactic acid to gently exfoliate the skin. These pads have become a staple in my skin-care routine." — RR
Best Hair Gel: Crown Affair The Flexible Hold Finishing Hair Gel
"I'm still perfecting my balletcore bun skills, but the Crown Affair The Flexible Hold Finishing Hair Gel ($42) has become a must whenever I'm attempting a slicked-back hairstyle. It stands out from other gels for me because it's more of a cream than a gel. Sometimes gels can feel a little too strong-hold for my fine hair, leaving me looking overly wet. This cream-to-gel formula feels more natural while still holding everything in place." — AK
Best Hair Care: John Frieda Anti-Frizz Conditioner
"If my hair could scream, it would be screaming for a cut, but up until a few months ago, nobody would have been able to tell it's been about a year since my last trim. That's because recently, when I notice my ends fraying at the edges, I look to the John Frieda Anti-Frizz Conditioner ($12). It leaves my hair smoother, silkier, and with less visible damage. (Although, for the record, I do still need a haircut, but this will at least keep my ends looking hydrated until I can finally snag an appointment.)" — KC
Best Hair Care: Bellissima Diffon Supreme Ionic XL Hair Diffuser
"If you like wearing your hair curly, then the Bellissima Diffon Supreme Ionic XL Hair Diffuser ($169) is for you. The design of this dryer makes it easy to hold when diffusing your hair, and it's surprisingly quiet for the type of product that it is. If you're also trying to be gentle with heat styling, the airflow is not as harsh as your normal at-home dryer, allowing your curls to dry without the unnecessary damage." — AB
Best Hair Care: Vegamour Hydr-8 Deep Moisture Repair Hair Mask
"Vegamour's new Hydr-8 line uses a signature ingredient: Karmatin, a vegan silk alternative to keratin and silicone. The standout product is the Vegamour HYDR-8 Deep Moisture Repair Hair Mask ($52) — every time I use it, my hair immediately feels more silky, smooth, and shiny. I appreciate that it doesn't weigh down my fine hair and leaves it with a pleasant fragrance of geranium and jasmine." — AK
Best Body Care: Hanni Splash Salve
"I'm one of those people who have to take a shower every day in order to feel like I'm alive. Meaning, if I'm not careful, my skin can start feeling a little stripped. The Hanni Splash Salve ($34) is the easy, in-shower solution to all my dry-skin problems. It's a buttery balm meets oil that you apply directly to your wet skin in the shower after you've shaved and cleansed. No need to scrub it off; when you get out of the shower, pat yourself dry, and you'll find you don't even need to put on lotion. It's just that nourishing." — AK
Best Body Care: Good Time Exfoliating Body Bar
"I've never been much of a body-bar person, but the Good Time Exfoliating Body Bar ($14) may have officially turned me. I love that it contains tiny grains of pumice and coconut-shell powder that slough off any dry flakes or patches but don't leave my skin itching for some moisture. Plus, the hit of eucalyptus makes my shower smell like it's moonlighting as a spa." — KC
Best Body Care: Oui the People Retinol Body Balm
"The Oui the People Retinol Body Balm ($75) feels like silk. I apply it fresh out of the shower when my skin is still damp, and the way my body feels wrapped in the finest of cloths (and how my skin feels so soft the next day) should be studied." — AB
Best Body Care: Fur Ingrown Microdart Patch
"I swear by pimple patches, so the idea of using something similar on ingrown hairs just makes sense. Fur has been working on the Ingrown Microdart Patch ($28) for years, and it shows. This patch contains salicylic acid to clear pores, hyaluronic acid for hydration, cica for inflammation, and licorice root to fade hyperpigmentation — the result is a patch that helps to resolve deep, painful ingrown hairs anywhere on the body. Simply apply it before bed, and the extra-strong adhesive will keep it in place for hours while it works its magic." — JH
Best Body Care: Tatcha Hinoki Body Milk Lotion
"As much as I've been trying to be more intentional with my body care, there are some days that I just want to slap on whatever's next to my drawer and go to bed. This is where the Tatcha Hinoki Body Milk Lotion ($48) comes in. This body milk is fast absorbing but deeply hydrating, so if I haphazardly rub it onto my body in an effort to get to bed quicker, it doesn't feel like I've skipped a step in my routine, because my skin feels just as good as when I've used heavier creams in addition to oils." — AB
Best Body Care: Ouai St. Barts Cleansing Scalp & Body Sugar Scrub
"I am truly obsessed with the smell of the Ouai St. Barts Cleansing Scalp & Body Sugar Scrub ($40). It's like a luxury beach vacation on the coast of some 'White Lotus'-style resort. I use the scrub exclusively for my body (I'm not a huge fan of putting scrubs in my hair), and I have to stop myself from staying in the shower for upward of an hour every time I apply it. Beyond the scent, it's a lovely deep-cleansing scrub that's not overly harsh, and it leaves skin with a serious glow." — AK
Best Body Care: Native Limited Edition Strawberry & Vanilla Taffy Deodorant
"I didn't expect to enjoy the Native Strawberry & Vanilla Taffy Deodorant ($16) as much as I have been, but wow. The scent of this deodorant isn't sickly sweet, but there's a soft (and I would go as far as to say edible) quality to it that I just can't resist." — AB
Best Body Care: Nécessaire The Body Cream
"Nécessaire's The Body Cream ($45) gives me no-fuss moisture in a quick-absorbing formula. The cream is thick but not greasy and has no scent, so it's particularly nice for sensitive skin as well as for colder days, because I can also add my favorite scented body oils for a custom lotion any time I feel like it (without sacrificing much-needed hydration)." — AB
Best Fragrance: Armani Prive Santal Dan Sha Eau de Toilette
"'Cozy' is the only way to describe the Armani Prive Santal Dan Sha Eau de Toilette ($195). From the creamy sandalwood to the spicy cardamom — plus the hints of refreshing bergamot to keep things balanced — it's every bit sultry and warm and exactly what you want for cold nights out." — KC
Best Fragrance: Le Labo Ambroxyde 17
"Is it weird to have a crush on a candle? Because I have one on Le Labo's Ambroxyde 17 ($82). From the sleek, minimalist packaging to the mouthwatering scent that features notes like ambroxyde, musks, and woods (think Another 13 in candle form), I haven't been able to get enough of this scent." — AB
Best Fragrance: Kilian Can't Stop Loving You
"I sprayed Kilian's Can't Stop Loving You ($275) once and kept spraying for what felt like forever. This perfume is an amber-vanilla masterpiece. Notes of orange blossom, honey, and vanilla are a few that make up the scent, and I have to say, it's unseated Love Don't Be Shy ($275) as my favorite Kilian fragrance." — AB
Best Fragrance: Parfums De Marly Valaya Eau de Parfum
"Parfums De Marly Valaya Eau de Parfum ($355) is a floral fragrance that leans more woodsy than green. White peach, musk, and ambrofix are some of the notes in this fragrance, and they blend beautifully with my body chemistry to create a warm, almost gourmand scent that I can't get enough of." — AB
Best Fragrance: Worthy IntenScenual Eau De Parfum
"I didn't realize the brand described the Worthy IntenScenual Eau De Parfum ($98) as a 'hug in a bottle,' but those are the exact words I had been using to describe the perfume to people who asked me what I was wearing (and there have been many, many stops). This perfume smells light, warm, and comforting in all the best ways, and I have actively had to stop myself from spraying some on every single night before bed to spare the bottle. It's that good." — AB
Best Oral Care: Colgate Optic White ComfortFit Teeth Whitening Kit
"It's a major goal of mine to start whitening my teeth consistently. I've tried a handful of kits in the past but stuck with none. I feel like the Colgate Optic White ComfortFit Teeth Whitening Kit ($50) will change that, though. I love that the mouthpiece is flexible, making it super comfortable to wear. To use it, you simply plug it into your phone (yes, it's Android and iPhone compatible), so no need to worry about recharging it. I've already started to notice a difference since I got my hands on it." — JH
Best Nail Care: Aprés Gel Couleur in Vampire Drunk
"Aprés's Gel Couleur in Vampire Drunk ($15) is one of the sexiest red nail polishes I own. Whether you want to wear it during the holidays, Valentine's Day, or just as your go-to color of choice, it is the perfect deep red that looks good on everyone." — AB
