As far as celebrity-owned beauty brands go, now, they're a dime a dozen, but Miranda Kerr was at the forefront with the launch of Kora Organics back in 2009. Since then, the brand has dropped more than 20 new products, all guided by Kerr's philosophy that "healthy skin is the most beautiful skin."

Inner and outer health has been a passion for the model ever since she was a teenager and her mom was diagnosed with cancerous tumors on her spleen. After that, her family embarked on a wellness journey together. "I've always felt like health is wealth," Kerr tells POPSUGAR. "We realized there was so much more that we could be doing for our health on a daily basis." Then, with the help of some of the best chemists she could find, she began creating products for all of them to use. It began as a passion project. "I was selfishly just doing [it] for myself," Kerr says. "Then I decided, 'Hey, it's time to get these products out into the world.'"

Fast forward 14 years, not too much has changed in terms of Kerr's beauty philosophy, but with her 40th birthday approaching on April 20, it's certainly on her mind more than ever. "Aging is inevitable, but we can do things to really help our skin be the best it possibly can be," she says. Ahead, Kerr is sharing some of her top beauty secrets and self-care activities.

"Consistency is key when it comes to your skin," says Kerr. "I notice a big difference." The two keys to Kerr's glow are exfoliation and hydration. For the first step, she uses either the Plant Stem Cell Retinol Alternative Serum ($75) — which is a certified organic stem cell alternative to retinol, and the brand's latest addition to the lineup — or the Turmeric BHA Pore & Brightening Treatment Mask ($52), a chemical exfoliant. "[The scrub] is also my husband's favorite thing," she says.

Kerr loves a good sauna, but she understands that they're not accessible to everyone, so she recommends at-home sauna blankets, which are still pricy but a little less so, to mimic the effects. "It's a good investment," she says. "I have the HigherDose V4 Infrared Sauna Blanket ($599) that sometimes I travel with."

Dry brushing is another staple for Kerr. You've likely heard about it before, either from other wellness-conscious people or even TikTok. The body-care ritual involves running a brush with stiff bristles over dry skin in upward sweeping motions. It's good for boosting circulation, gently exfoliating skin, and stimulating the nervous system, according to Cleveland Clinic.

"I love dry body brushing — anything that kind of gets the circulation going," says Kerr. That includes Gua Sha and facial massaging, too.
