Blake Shelton Gives a Shout-Out to the "Many Great Things Happening" in His Life

After Wednesday night's CMA Awards, Blake Shelton took to Twitter to show some gratitude. The country singer tweeted that it was an "awesome night," adding, "So many great things happening in my life. Congrats to @ChrisStapleton!!!! Long time coming brother." The social media shout-out came after what Blake predicted would be an "awkward" show. He expected a few jokes about his split from Miranda Lambert, and hosts Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood did give a nod to the couple's divorce. "Of course we can't ignore the breakup that really rocked our world. The one that's on everybody's mind," Carrie said as the camera panned to Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy. Brad joked, "But on a completely unrelated topic . . . Howdy, Blake!"

Earlier in the day, Blake made headlines when it was confirmed that he and Gwen Stefani are dating. Gwen's rep said, "Gwen and Blake are longtime friends who have very recently started dating." Meanwhile, although the relationship may come as a surprise to fans, E! News reports that Miranda wasn't as shocked, with a source saying that Miranda knew Blake and Gwen "were always pretty flirty."
