Carrie and Brad's Most Awkward CMA Awards Moments

Seven-time CMA Awards hosts Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley have gotten pretty comfortable — maybe too comfortable — on stage at the annual event. The duo kicked off Wednesday's show in Nashville with a nearly 10-minute-long opening act that included multiple, er, memorable moments, like a jab at Renée Zellweger and her changing looks and a ditty about "ebola nurse" Kaci Hickox being out of quarantine. There was one welcome reveal though — when they announced that Carrie is expecting a baby boy! Regardless of the excitement, one star in the crowd, Miranda Lambert, didn't seem too thrilled with their jokes at all, keeping a straight face the entire time Carrie and Brad were at the mic. When They Made Up a Taylor Swift Disorder

The duo combined Taylor's departure from country music with the results of the recent midterm elections, saying, "People around the world are worried. This condition has hit Nashville the hardest. Postpartum Taylor Swift Disorder, or PPTSD. Why isn't our government doing something about this? President Obama does not care about PPTSD. I'm pretty sure that's why the Democrats lost the Senate."

When They Made Fun of Renée Zellweger

After declaring that "nothing is off limits tonight," Brad and Carrie added that they "refuse to joke about Renée" Zellweger, who was once married to country singer Kenny Chesney. "I mean she could be here. How would we know?! She's a master of disguise." The duo was referring to all the attention surrounding Renée's different look on the red carpet at an event in October.

When They Cracked an Ebola Joke

After welcoming country legend George Strait and the rest of the audience to the 48th annual event, Brad added: "Thankfully not everybody is here. This song goes out to one feisty little nurse in Maine who's probably riding her bike right now." Carrie then launched into a "quarantine" song, adding, "what part of stay inside don't you understand?"

When They Made Light of the Nude Celebrity Photo Leak

Lots of stars, including Jennifer Lawrence, were affected by a nude photo hack last month, though the topic wasn't off limits for Brad and Carrie. They started in on their "nude photo leak" skit singing the words, "I take naked selfies all the time. I'm scared I'll find they've leaked online. I think Blake Shelton's got some of his bare behind."

When They Made a Racist Joke

Before Darius Rucker and Tim Tebow took the stage to present, Brad informed the audience that if they "were expecting to see the show Black-ish (which usually airs on Wednesdays on ABC), this ain't it . . . I hope you're enjoying 'White-ish.'" Outrage ensued on Twitter, where viewers shared their shock at the racist comment.

When Miranda Lambert Was Not Impressed

The camera cut to Miranda and her husband, Blake, in the front row multiple times, and every time she barely mustered up more than a grin despite the audience's laughter and her own successful night, which ended up including four big wins.
