She's back! After taking a break from the spotlight following her drug overdose in July, Demi Lovato returned to social media for a very special reason: to encourage her fans to vote. On Tuesday, the 26-year-old singer shared a photo of herself voting during the midterm elections on Instagram, writing, "I am so grateful to be home in time to vote! One vote can make a difference, so make sure your voice is heard!🗳 🇺🇸 now go out and #VOTE!!!!" The post marked Demi's first Instagram post since August, when she told her fans she would be seeking treatment for addiction.
On July 24, Demi was hospitalized after being found unconscious in her home, the result of an apparent overdose. She left the hospital for treatment on Aug. 4, and has stayed out of the spotlight until very recently. Over the weekend, Demi was spotted out and about in LA after reportedly completing 90 days of treatment. We're glad to see she is doing well and continuing to use her voice for good!
