Thanks to Jimmy Kimmel, Ex Sarah Silverman's Walk of Fame Ceremony Turned Into a Sweet, Hilarious Roast

You would think that having your ex show up at an event you're being honored at would be awkward, right? Well, not for Sarah Silverman. On Friday, the comedian received the 2,649th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and her ex Jimmy Kimmel popped up to show his support. The two happily posed for pictures with Sarah's commemorative plaque and star, and Jimmy even took the stage for a speech.

Jimmy discussed the first time he met Sarah at the Hugh Hefner Friars Club Roast in 2001, saying she called him "fat" with "no charisma." His speech then turned into a hilarious roast as Jimmy went on to make fun of her fashion choices and her getting fired from Saturday Night Live. "Sarah and I dated for seven years with a brief break in the middle . . . after we parted ways, I stopped following Sarah's career, but I heard it went — is going very well." Ouch! Things then took a sweet turn when Jimmy praised Sarah and said she ranks above the great comedians and is "a vastly underrated and excellent actress." John C. Reilly and Sarah's sisters, Laura and Susan, were also in attendance.

Sarah and Jimmy dated on and off from 2002 to 2009. Even though things didn't work out romantically, the two have remained friends. In fact, Sarah stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live in September and gave Jimmy a quick update on her love life following her split from Michael Sheen last year. Jimmy, on the other hand, is now married to producer and writer Molly McNearney, and they have two kids together.
