Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle Make a Glam Appearance at Charles's 70th Birthday Bash

Happy birthday, Prince Charles! The royal turned 70 on Nov. 14, and his family celebrated with the ultimate bash hosted by Queen Elizabeth II at Buckingham Palace. Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall dressed to the nines, while Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle nearly stole the show in matching updos and gorgeous diamond drop earrings. Of course, Prince William and Prince Harry looked handsome as usual in black tuxedos. Newlywed Princess Eugenie was also spotted arriving at the fete rocking a stunning teal dress. Wow, is this a birthday party or an award show?

During the bash, the queen gave a toast to her son, calling him a "champion of conversation and the arts" and "a great charitable leader." She also couldn't resist poking a little fun at her son's age.

Prior to Charles's official birthday, the Royal Mail released six new stamps honoring the Prince of Wales and the palace unveiled two adorable new royal family portraits. Noticeably missing from the photos is Queen Elizabeth II, but it seems this might have been her way of introducing the world to the new faces of the British monarchy.
