Ryan Reynolds Dedicates His Critics' Choice Award to 2 Young Fans Who Died of Cancer

Ryan Reynolds gave a heartfelt speech when he was crowned Entertainment Weekly's entertainer of the year at the Critics' Choice Awards on Sunday. After cracking a few jokes, the Deadpool actor took a more serious turn when he dedicated his award to children from the Make-A-Wish Foundation, the SickKids Foundation of Toronto, and two young fans named Connor McGrath and Grace Bowen who died of cancer. "They didn't lose the battle," he told the audience. "But they did start a fight and it's up to us to finish it." Of course, he couldn't end his speech without giving a special shout-out to his wife, Blake Lively, and their two children.

And the awards didn't stop there. The actor was his usual charming self when he accepted best actor in a comedy. This time however, he gave a shoutout to the amazing screenwriters in Hollywood and Tom Hanks. "You're a huge influence," he told the Sully actor. "My 2-year-old daughter, the first full sentence she's ever said was 'There's no crying in baseball.'" Oh, Ryan. You're too much!
