What We Know About Alba Baptista, Chris Evans's Reported Wife

Baptista grew up in Lisbon and went to a German school in Portugal, per an Aug. 2022 interview with W Magazine. She also speaks five languages — Portuguese, English, German, French, and Spanish. "It was a really strict school that gave us a lot of discipline," she told the outlet of her experience in grade school. "And consequently, you had to be spotless with your languages — very, very on point."

Baptista is a huge star in Portugal. At the age of 16, she starred in Simão Cayatte's short film "Miami," netting her the award for best actress at the Festival Ibérico de Ciné, per Vogue. She also starred in Edgar Pêra's "Caminhos Magnétykos" and Marco Pontecorvo's "Fatima" as well as several popular Portuguese series.

In 2020, she played the lead in Netflix's "Warrior Nun," and the second and final season of the series dropped on Nov. 10, 2022. She also starred as Natasha in "Mrs. Harris Goes to Paris," which premiered in July 2022.

In a July 2022 Glamour feature, Baptista revealed some of her hobbies in her description of her ideal day. "Any sort of outdoor activity like hiking, bike riding, or rollerblading, and going to the beach with someone I love," she said. "That's the best day I can have. Oh, and with a lot of food." She also has a penchant for philosophy, according to the outlet, and was reading Nietzsche at the time of the interview.

Additionally, in Aug. 2022, she told W Magazine that she makes sure to prioritize enjoying her life outside of work. "I need to recenter and reprioritize my passions outside of acting — hiking, doing yoga, going to the beach," she said. "It's not just a preference. It's a necessity to practice presence and be able to take on another role."

Baptista often shares glimpses of her globetrotting adventures on Instagram, and she's posted photos from Myanmar, Amsterdam, Brazil, Cuba, Vietnam, Indonesia, and Spain, to name a few places she's visited. Per People, in 2018, she also "did an extensive amount of humanitarian work at an orphanage in Cambodia focusing on education."

In November 2022, a source told People that Evans's family very much approved of Baptista. "They are in love and Chris has never been happier," the source said. "His family and friends all adore her."
