Harry and Meghan Celebrate Archie's First Birthday With the Sweetest Video of Family Storytime

Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor has turned 1! The tiny tot rang in his first birthday on Wednesday, and to mark the special milestone, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry released a rare new video of their son. In the adorable video, Archie reads one of his favorite books, Duck! Rabbit!, with mom Meghan. He's just as wriggly and giggly as you'd expect a 1-year-old to be and is just as cute as when we last saw him. Our favourite part of the sweet video has to be Archie dropping the book on the floor and asking Dad (who is filming) to pick it up for him.

The storybook holds special meaning, as it was a gift from Meghan's friend Oprah Winfrey. Entertainment Tonight confirmed that the media mogul sent Duck! Rabbit! to Meghan and Harry when Archie was born. In April 2019, Oprah did say she planned on providing plenty of books for the baby. "I have a standard gift that I do for people that I really care about," she said at The Hollywood Reporter's Empowerment in Entertainment gala. "This baby will have enough books to last a lifetime." Clearly, she's following through on her word and, by the looks of it, she's already offered up a winning read.

But there's also a serious side to the celebratory video. Released on the Save the Children UK Instagram page, the video aims to help raise funds for the #SaveWithStories coronavirus campaign. "As the world grapples with the coronavirus pandemic, children's lives are being turned upside down," the Instagram caption reads. "By donating to Save with Stories, you can support the most vulnerable families in the UK and around the world by helping to provide early learning packs, supermarket vouchers, essential household items and virus protection. Please donate today by visiting our website."

Archie made his way into the world on May 6, 2019, just 13 days before Meghan and Harry's first wedding anniversary. He weighed 7 lbs. and 3 oz. and made his first royal appearance two days after his arrival when his parents brought him out for a photocall at Windsor Castle. Even though Archie doesn't have a royal title (at least for now, anyway), he's already made history as the first British-American baby born into the British royal family. The last time we got a glimpse of Archie was in his family's holiday card back in December, and wow, he's already gotten so big! And we can't be the only ones who spotted that he's basically a spitting image of Harry.

In times of uncertainty and sadness, the video is a sweet reminder of little moments that can not only spark joy but also help those in need.
