"Ted Lasso" Star Jodi Balfour and Abbi Jacobson Met on a Dating App

Jodi Balfour, who made her debut as Jack in "Ted Lasso"'s third and final season, is one-half of one of Hollywood's funniest couples. The actor is engaged to "Broad City" star Abbi Jacobson. The pair confirmed their engagement in the summer of 2022.

It's not known when exactly Balfour and Jacobson connected but the duo went public with their romance in October 2021. Balfour, who is South African, has also appeared as Jackie Kennedy on "The Crown," in episodes of "True Detective," and as a main cast member of Apple TV+'s "For All Mankind." Meanwhile, Jacobson first broke out as Abbi on "Broad City," which she created with costar Ilana Glazer. She currently voices a character in Netflix's "Disenchantment" and voiced the main character, Katie, in 2021's Oscar-nominated "The Mitchells vs. the Machines." She also cocreated the "A League of Their Own" series for Prime Video, which adds a historical and accurate queer spin to the beloved 1992 film of the same name.

Jacobson and Balfour have been mostly tight-lipped about their romance through the years but they have walked quite a few red carpets together. Now, we may not yet know what's in store for Keeley and Balfour's Jack in "Ted Lasso," but we do know the latter and Jacobson are going strong.

Take a look at their relationship timeline ahead.

She wrote on Instagram that month, "On this last day of Pride Month, I'm stepping away from my sense of inadequacy, my fear of taking up room not meant for me, and my need to do this right. . . . to say how undeniably freeing it has been to finally embrace and explore my queerness."

She continued, "How flooded I feel with gratitude for how easy it's been for me to share this with my community (I'm deeply aware that so many people fought to make it that way, and of how many people still don't get to have this experience); and that even though it took me a long time to get here, it feels like coming home to myself in a way that's burst life right open. Hope it's been a happy month! I'm gonna keep celebrating."
