And we haven't even gotten to the performances yet! Some of the biggest highlights included Pharrell's new version of "Happy," during which he dressed like a bellhop; Madonna's superstrange, dark, and twisty number; and Kanye West's minimalistic performance.
Our very favorite, though, was Sia's performance of "Chandelier," which featured a spectacular Kristen Wiig cameo.
There's more than what you saw, though. Be sure to look at some of the night's best off-camera moments.
And finally, the only remaining burning question (we hope): who won? We've got the full list of winners.
