The Majestic Yosemite Hotel — Yosemite, CA

When the queen stayed at the The Majestic Yosemite Hotel in 1983, the rustic but grand granite and timber property was called The Ahwahnee and was most famous for being Stanley Kubrick's inspiration for the hotel in The Shining. Four years after her stay, the hotel was declared a National Historic Landmark.
