In a July episode of his "New Heights" podcast, Kansas City Chiefs football player Kelce revealed that he was bummed he didn't get the opportunity to meet Swift and give her a friendship bracelet with his phone number on it when he attended The Eras Tour earlier that month. This revelation prompted fans to root for the pair to meet, so when multiple outlets began reporting they had met and were talking casually in early September, fans began to ship them earnestly.
Fast-forward to Sept. 24: Swift attended Kelce's football game at Arrowhead Stadium, reportedly at his invitation, and the pair were filmed walking together after the game in an official NFL TikTok video. "Travis invited her to the game, and of course, she said 'yes.' She just thought it was a fantastic way to spend Sunday," a source told People on Sept. 25. However, the insider also claimed, "Taylor is very focused on work right now and hanging out with her girlfriends."
Swift then attended the Oct. 1 Chiefs game against the New York Jets and the Oct. 12 Thursday Night Football game between Kansas City and the Denver Broncos. On Oct. 14, she and Kelce both made cameos during the season 49 premiere of "Saturday Night Live" (which is another thing they have in common: They're both former "SNL" hosts). They were photographed leaving the show's afterparty together, and the next night, they were photographed again leaving the Waverly Inn. So for two very busy people with high-powered careers, it seems they've managed to find quite a bit of time to hang out together.
