  • July 4: A week later, the duo returned to the place where it all began when they celebrated the Fourth of July at Taylor's beach house in Rhode Island. Not only did they pack on the PDA, but Tom sported a heart-shaped tattoo along with a matching tank that read "I [heart] T.S."
  • July 14: Tom attempted to put the rumors that their relationship isn't real to rest in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter following the announcement of his Emmy nomination. "Well, um. How best to put this? The truth is that Taylor Swift and I are together and we're very happy. Thanks for asking," he said. "That's the truth. It's not a publicity stunt."
  • July 15: Taylor and Tom's relationship apparently has the full support of their friends. Taylor's "squad member" and Victoria's Secret model Martha Hunt told People that "they're both happy and free together," while Tom's Thor: Ragnarok costar Chris Hemsworth revealed his feelings on their coupling during an appearance on Australian radio show Fitzy and Wippa. "He looks happy, mate," he told them. "You know, yeah!"
  • July 20: Taylor and Tom appeared to be in good spirits when they were spotted returning stateside from Australia together.
  • July 27: The pair looked as happy as ever when they were photographed holding hands while making their way out of a restaurant in Santa Monica, CA.
