Reedus first met Christensen through their mutual friend, photographer Yelena Yemchuk, and the two began dating in 1998. A year later, they welcomed their son, Mingus Lucien Reedus, but they ended up calling it quits in 2003. While the reason for their split is still unclear, Reedus and Christensen remain friends. "She's a really cool girl," Reedus told the New York Post in February 2014. "She's really smart and we laugh at the same crap."
