Kelly McCreary and Husband Pete Chatmon Met on the Set of Grey's Anatomy

Pete graduated from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts in 1999, where he studied directing and writing. For his thesis project, he created a film entitled 3D, which starred Kerry Washington, and in 2005, he became a professor at NYU, where he still teaches courses on production.

After producing his first film, 3D, in college (which became a 2001 Sundance selection), Pete went on to produce several other films, including Chameleon, Premium (which starred Zoe Saldana), 761st, Broken, God Loves You, Black Card, Wilmington on Fire, and Wednesday Morning.

His podcast, Let's Shoot! with Pete Chatmon, debuted in June 2020, and he releases new episodes on YouTube and all podcast platforms every Wednesday. During every episode, Pete chats with directors, writers, actors, showrunners, producers, and executives, among other guests, about what makes for a good director.
