You may be hoping to see more of Maggie Pierce and Winston Ndugu's romance during season 17 of Grey's Anatomy, but IRL, actress Kelly McCreary's heart belongs to someone else. Kelly met her director husband Pete Chatmon on the set of Grey's Anatomy back in 2017, and the couple dated for two years before tying the knot in May 2019. From the many couple's pics the pair posts on social media, it's pretty clear these two are enamored with each other, and we love to see it. He Graduated From NYU's Tisch School of the Arts

Pete graduated from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts in 1999, where he studied directing and writing. For his thesis project, he created a film entitled 3D, which starred Kerry Washington, and in 2005, he became a professor at NYU, where he still teaches courses on production.

He's Directed Several TV Shows

In addition to directing a few episodes of Grey's Anatomy, Pete has directed multiple episodes of American Koko, The Last O.G., Grown-ish, Black-ish, and It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. He's also directed single episodes for All Rise, Station 19, Mixed-ish, A Million Little Things, Silicon Valley, Single Parents, Greenleaf, Atypical, and Insecure.

He's Also Produced Many of His Own Films

After producing his first film, 3D, in college (which became a 2001 Sundance selection), Pete went on to produce several other films, including Chameleon, Premium (which starred Zoe Saldana), 761st, Broken, God Loves You, Black Card, Wilmington on Fire, and Wednesday Morning.

He Has His Own Line of Merch

Pete launched TheDirector merchandise line in 2017 in order to empower and inspire up-and-coming and aspiring directors. Products available include shirts, hoodies, bomber jackets, fleece jackets, baseball hats, and coffee mugs.
