The 1 Thing Emma Watson's Hermione Granger and Belle Have in Common

Emma Watson is gearing up for the March 2017 release of Disney's live-action adaptation of Beauty and the Beast, in which she plays Belle. We've gotten a handful of details, teasers, and pictures from the movie so far this year, and while we can't wait to see the actress be a princess, we also can't help but connect it to her most notable character, Hermione Granger, in the Harry Potter series. Hermione and Belle are both extremely independent, strong, and smart, but they also share one small thing in common that you may not have realized.

At the end of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2, we see Hermione and her husband, Ron Weasley, send their daughter off on the Hogwarts Express for her first year at school. Their daughter's name is Rose, which turns out to also be one of the most important things in Beauty and the Beast. In order for Prince Adam, who has been transformed into an ugly beast after being cursed by an old woman, to turn back into his old self, he must make a woman fall in love with the real him before the last petal falls from the rose on his 21st birthday. Long story short: roses mean a while lot to Hermione and Belle.
