Pivot Your Fall Plans! Friends Is Hitting Theaters For the Show's 25th Anniversary

It's hard to believe it's been almost 25 years since Rachel Green left Barry at the altar and stumbled into Central Perk, where she reunited with her high school BFF Monica Geller. In honor of the anniversary of the Friends premiere, the beloved sitcom will be hitting movie theaters for a screening of 12 iconic episodes this Fall. "The One With the Anniversary" will take place for three days — Sept. 23, Sept. 28, and Oct. 2 — with four different episodes each night at over 1,000 theaters across the country. The screenings will also include exclusive interviews and never-before-seen footage of the cast.

"The cultural impact that Friends continues to have, 25 years after its premiere, is astounding," Lisa Gregorian, the president of Warner Bros. Television Group, told Entertainment Weekly. "It is so amazing to know that the series is still bringing people of all ages together. We could not be more excited to deliver these digitally remastered episodes to theaters — for the first time ever! — so that together, in a shared experience, our loyal fans can enjoy some of their favorite Friends scenes in a new way."

Check out which episodes will air each day, and make sure to pick up tickets for the special event with Fathom Events starting Aug. 16.
