The Hobbit The Office Parody Saturday Night Live
The Hobbit Meets The Office When Martin Freeman Hosts SNL
J.R.R. Tolkien introduced a number of unforgettable characters in the Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit series, but what do they all do after their quests are completed? According to Saturday Night Live, they go to work selling paper, à la The Office. Host Martin Freeman parodied the role that kicked off our crush on him, Tim from the original British version of The Office. Gollum is the Gareth/Dwight of the crew, and Gandalf is the David Brent/Michael Scott, aka "Lord of the Reems," full of very inappropriate puns. (Samples: "Thou shalt not pass . . . gas" and "Dildo Baggins.") It's brilliant, and you can watch it below.
