Jennifer Aniston Faces a Crisis in the New Trailer For Apple TV's The Morning Show

Yes, Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Aniston's morning news TV show is actually happening! And now, after what's felt like an eternity since first hearing that the pair were collaborating on the Apple series, we have a new glimpse at what's to come in the form of the first official trailer.

The Morning Show, described as a "high-stakes drama," is based on Brian Stelter's book Top of the Morning: Inside the Cutthroat World of Morning TV about all the wars that go down behind the scenes of popular morning news shows. The TV adaptation will pull back the curtain on these interactions, centering on two anchors (Aniston and Steve Carell) who face a crisis when one (Aniston) throws the under (Carell) under the bus. The trailer is brief but dramatic, showing how Aniston's character grapples with a potential new co-anchor to her show (Reese Witherspoon) and a breakdown in the public eye.

Kerry Ehrin will serve as showrunner, while Mimi Leder, who's previously worked on ER and The Leftovers, is on board as one of the show's directors. We don't have a hard premiere date quite yet, but we do know that 1.) It's already been renewed for a second season, 2.) Each season will consist of 10 episodes, and 3.) We'll be able to watch The Morning Show on Apple TV+ at some point this Fall.
