Once Upon a Time season five returns on Sept. 27, and with it, we'll be getting a brand-new Emma, brand-new characters, and at least one familiar face won't be coming back (don't worry; it's not this sexy face). It's All About Dark Swan
As you recall from the season finale, Emma sacrifices herself to the Darkness to become the new Dark One. It's not known how long she'll be the actual Dark One, but we do know that Rumple is training her, she looks like a badass, and it will of course test her budding relationship with Hook.

Merida Is Coming
The first Pixar character is crossing over into Once: Brave's Merida, who has already been revealed in video footage.

Along With the Knights of the Round Table
Merida isn't the only new face coming. There are several other characters, and they all hail from Camelot. According to this preview, they're teaming up with Merida.

Rebecca Mader and Sean Maguire Are Now Series Regulars
Mader and Maguire, who play Zelena and Robin Hood, respectively, were promoted from recurring stars to series regulars for season five. Perhaps this will give Robin a chance to explain himself.

But Michael Socha Won't Be Back
Socha, who plays Will Scarlet, will not return to season five. He briefly romances Belle last season, but it sounds like she'll be able to refocus on Rumple, even though he is comatose, pretty much.
