Piper's ex-fiancé and ex best friend are officially a couple.

Piper, who is now a badass and possibly dead on the inside, calls Larry and Polly and asks them to call Alex's parole officer to tip them off that she's leaving town. Polly does it.

Alex is headed back to prison after being caught about to violate the terms of her parole.

After he discovers evidence that Figueroa is embezzling money from the prison, Caputo blackmails her into resigning as the assistant warden. She leaves, publicly claiming she wants to spend more time with her family.

Caputo is the new assistant warden now that Figueroa is gone. He's intent on keeping order, but he might not realize what a big job he's just stepped into.

Bennett finally decides to tell Caputo the truth about his relationship with Daya, his baby mama. Unfortunately (or fortunately), the newly appointed Caputo is having none of it and tells Bennett to pretend like the conversation never happened.

Healy's feelings are hurt after no one shows up for his Safe Place group-therapy session. He's still kind of a jerk, though.

Pennsatucky (now with improved, gold teeth) has lost her crew, and she cuts her hair to join the "gay agenda."

The best friends go through a rough patch when Poussey admits she has romantic feelings for Taystee, but the two eventually reconcile.

Red is in the infirmary after her season-long battle with Vee comes to a head and Vee beats the crap out of her. She'll live, but getting beat with a lock in a sock is no fun at all.

When she discovers that Miss Rosa's chemo treatments aren't working and that the cancer is killing her rapidly, Morello lets her escape in the transport van. "Go do it your own way," she tells Miss Rosa. "Go fast."

Miss Rosa drives off in the van, sees Vee on the side of the road, and hits her. She speeds away to the tune of Blue Oyster Cult's "(Don't Fear) The Reaper" as sirens blast. Hopefully, the terminally ill inmate goes out her own way.

Judging by the dead look in her eyes when Rosa hits her, it's probably lights out for Vee. Of course, there's always a chance she survives.

Big Boo and Nicky are in a tough spot at the end of season two. They're stuck with the heroin Vee has been smuggling in, and given Nicky's addiction issues, that's a bad place.

Having been brainwashed by Vee, Crazy Eyes is ready to take the blame for beating up Red. She's absolved when Healy signs a work order stating that she was in a different part of the prison at the time of the incident.

Soso is still adjusting to prison life. It's going OK.

Pornstache is finished at Litchfield. He only shows up in a few episodes of season two — to proclaim his love for Daya, who he thinks is carrying his child — and Pablo Schreiber will not be appearing on season three.
