Pink Kicks Off the Super Bowl With a Powerful National Anthem, All While Battling the Flu

The show must go on! Pink kicked off the Super Bowl with her stunning vocals and performance of the national anthem despite battling a wicked case of the flu. The singer, who just so happens to be a huge Philadelphia Eagles fan, remained neutral in an all-white ensemble.

Although we're used to seeing Pink flying around for over-the-top performances, we'll leave it to the players to wow us with the stunts tonight — and hopefully get a few from halftime performer Justin Timberlake, as well. Watch Pink's rendition of "The Star-Spangled Banner" above, and let the countdown until Timberlake takes the stage and turns the game into a dance party begin.

Trying to practice the flu away. I've been waiting to sing this song since 1991 when I saw my idol, Whitney Houston, own this song. And now, my chance has finally come. And it just so happens that this chance comes when I have two small Petri dish kids who literally cough INTO MY MOUTH and rub their snot on my cheek. You can't write this stuff I swear! And here we are. I've arrived at another one of my dreams which is slowly becoming a sort of nightmare.
