A Quiet Place Song

Here's the Song From That Romantic Dancing Scene in A Quiet Place

There's no doubt about it: A Quiet Place is easily one of the year's scariest movies. It's got everything: a real, mounting dread that grows with every scene, the potential for a sequel, and a tenacious family that's determined to survive. There's also one other special aspect of the film: the mother and father are played by real-life couple Emily Blunt and John Krasinski.

With their genuine love playing out on-screen, these dual performances are all the more real and fizzle with an undeniable chemistry. That's what makes the film's one and only romantic scene that much more tender. Basically, Krasinski's character (Lee) is in their home's basement working on some hearing aids for his deaf daughter, Reagan. Blunt's character (Evelyn), who's wearing headphones, sweetly pulls Lee away from his work and takes out one of her earbuds so her husband can listen to the song as well. The two sway to an absolutely beautiful song, and just for a moment, they seem at peace.

Wondering what song's playing during this romantic scene? It's "Harvest Moon," by Neil Young! I know because I've spent the last year obsessively listening to the Big Little Lies soundtrack, and the HBO show also uses this song for a dancing scene. I mean, given the fact that the tune is so sweet and lovely, it's easy to see why music supervisors are drawn to it. Listen below, and try to soak up as much calm as possible before subjecting yourself to the pure, unadulterated terror of A Quiet Place.
