American Viewers Are Falling For Australia's Bachelor, Who Is a Freakin' Astrophysicist!

Now that Colton Underwood finally jumped that fence over on The Bachelor, another suitor has captured our attention. The Bachelor Australia recently announced its seventh season will be centered around 31-year-old astrophysicist Matt Agnew, who is a newcomer to the franchise and was not a contestant on a previous season of The Bachelorette.

Although his social media isn't able to tell us much — he currently has one photo on Instagram — Matt is currently a PhD student at the Centre for Astrophysics and Supercomputing at Swinburne University in Melbourne. In a statement shared with 10 Daily, Matt said, "I've got a real 'do it once, do it right' mentality so I'll be making sure I throw myself into it, be vulnerable and enjoy what comes from that."

Then, the handsome gentleman uttered this sentence in response to what a contestant might be able to do to peak his interest: "You know how sometimes after you've been talking for like 20 minutes about a topic you're really excited about, you apologize for 'being boring and waffling on'? That." He added, "I love hearing about things people genuinely love, are excited about and want to share." Oh, C'MON!

In his one aforementioned post on Instagram, Matt said he was pinching himself over the whirlwind opportunity. "It may be an unorthodox way to meet someone, but I can't wait and it'll make for a cracking 'how we met' story," he said. After learning more about Matt, American viewers are rushing to figure out a way to watch The Bachelor Australia immediately. See what we mean ahead.
