One of the best things about The Bachelor — besides the never-ending drama — is watching the women go on extravagant dates while we're all sitting on the coach in our sweats. The first date of season 22 had Arie Luyendyk Jr. taking Becca K. (no, not that Bekah) to a mansion, where she got to try on a half-dozen gowns. Spoiler alert: she got to keep all of them, along with Louboutin sparkly heels and diamond earrings, but who's keeping track?
The day ended with a candlelit dinner and performance from Connor Duermit. You might not have heard this pop-soul singer-songwriter's music yet, but you're about to kick yourself after you learn more about the total babe. Although we've been keeping our eyes glued on Luyendyk Jr., we definitely got some new eye candy this episode. And, trust us — he has the voice to match.
- He lives in Los Angeles, CA, but Asheville, NC, is home. And it looks like he enjoys leaving the craziness of LA for a taste of home from time to time!
- He gets his pipes from his mother. Duermit's mom is a singer, so he grew up around music all of this life. However, he didn't start writing music until he moved to LA and got with a label.
- He has a gorgeous lady in his life. Unfortunately for us, he looks incredibly happy with model Tilly Smith, so it doesn't look like he would go on The Bachelor for any other reason than to perform. Talk about a hot couple!
- If he wasn't a singer-songwriter, he might have been a carpenter. This guy just loves to create! Duermit used to help his dad, who worked for a design/build company, when he was younger.
You can listen to the song he played on The Bachelor, "Never Ending," and more of his music here!
