Who Is the Vampire Diaries Mystery Shooter?

This season of The Vampire Diaries is back without Elena, but with a three-years-ahead flash-forward. One of the mysteries about the future involves a mystery shooter, who we know is female, and who we know it's not. We know Damon says that "she won't stop until you're dead." You'd think it was their mother, but if that were true, why didn't we see her? We're ready to start theorizing about who that female mystery shooter is.

Lily
Lily is the most obvious candidate, but if she's so obvious, why not just show her? We already know she has a beef with her sons (probably that they kill Julian eventually), so it doesn't make sense to keep her identity a mystery.

Valerie
Another likely candidate. She seems like she could snap at any moment, and with Julian back on the scene, she may be targeted by him and then go off the rails.

Nora
It could easily be one of the heretic couple from hell. Nora makes sense because she seems to be just a tad more evil than her girlfriend.

Mary Louise
Mary Louise seems insecure enough to go crazy if Nora dumps her — or anything else. These women are pretty unhinged.
