Everything We Know About Once Upon a Time's 100th Episode
The midseason finale of Once Upon a Time broke our hearts, and there are a lot of unanswered questions that left us hanging. Not only are we looking forward to the show's return, but there is also another milestone we're stoked about: the 100th episode. While the second half of the season doesn't start back up until March 6, thankfully the show's creators, Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis, have provided us with a few hints about what's to come when the show returns with the 100th episode. Keep scrolling for all the details — so far.
It Will Remind You of Season One
While Horowitz and Kitsis were pretty mum about what's to come, they assured fans that the upcoming episode would please fans by giving them "that season one feeling all over again."
A Lot of Characters Are Returning
So far, there have already been multiple confirmations of stars returning to the show, including Neal Cassidy (Michael Raymond-James), Cora (Barbara Hershey), Peter Pan (Robbie Kay), Prince Henry (Tony Perez) Sidney Glass (Giancarlo Esposito), and the Blind Witch (Emma Caulfield).
There Will Be Time Jumps Between Past and Present
Seeing that most of the returning characters have been killed off on the show, Kitsis confirmed that there will be flashbacks, visions, and another realm in the 100th episode.
They Are Visiting the Underworld
The show's season finale confirmed that the heroes are indeed heading to the Underworld, but that doesn't exactly mean it will be hell. Horowitz confirmed, "It is a place between. It’s the place for people with unfinished business."
The Search For Hook Won't Be Easy
Horowitz explained that, while the quest to find Hook is everyone's main mission, the inhabitants of the Underworld might cause some unwanted tension. "It’s not just about finding Hook — it’s about what happens when Emma and all of our characters enter this realm and have to face things both from their past and present."
There Will Be a Callback to Jamie Dornan's Character
Kitsis says Jamie Dornan is the "number one" person people ask about, but sadly, the Fifty Shades Darker star won't be able to fit the 100th episode into his busy schedule. The sexy star who played Sheriff Graham is still beloved by the show; Kitsis added that, "We love Jamie and we wish him nothing but the best, and though we’re sorry not to see his face in the 100th, I think he’ll be there in spirit as Emma wears his shoelaces on her wrist."
