Yes, yes, and yes. While there is some fun fluff like Caitlyn showing off her new, beautiful closet to Kim, Caitlyn stresses over and over again that the reason she's doing the show is to prevent more tragedy. “We don’t want people dying over this stuff," she intones, and acknowledges that she has this incredible platform and needs to use it. The final segment of the premiere follows Caitlyn to San Diego, where she goes to comfort the family of a young trans teen, Kyler Prescott, who had committed suicide. She's there, and she listens, and she learns. "What a responsibility I have — I hope I get it right," Caitlyn says at one point. So far, so good.
