29 Hot TV Guys You Would Have Loved to Go to High School With

There are realistic crushes, and then there are the guys whose names you scribble in your notebook during geometry. With the arrival of Valentine's Day next month, I'm presenting an ode to the TV dreamboats — current and past — I would have loved to go to high school with. From Shawn Hunter to Lucas Scott, these are the guys I wholeheartedly wished were my science partners, in my gym classes, and, of course, sending me flowers instead of my mom.

01
Shawn Hunter, Boy Meets World
ABC

Shawn Hunter, Boy Meets World

Who didn't have a crush on Shawn (Rider Strong)? He's Cory's cool best friend who wears awesome stuff like jean jackets! And that '90s haircut? Don't get me started.

02
Zack Morris, Saved by the Bell
ABC

Zack Morris, Saved by the Bell

This GIF so perfectly sums up how awesome Zack Morris (Mark-Paul Gosselaar) is. Part of his charm — aside from his good looks and leadership abilities — is that he takes time to talk directly to the camera . . . into your soul.

03
Matty McKibben, Awkward
MTV

Matty McKibben, Awkward

Jake might be the sensitive one, but Matty (Beau Mirchoff), well, let's face it: Matty's the superhot one.

04
Tim Riggins, Friday Night Lights
NBC

Tim Riggins, Friday Night Lights

Tell me your ovaries don't swell when you think of Tim Riggins (Taylor Kitsch). His life may have been going nowhere, but you would have gladly gone nowhere with him.

05
Seth Cohen, The O.C.
Fox

Seth Cohen, The O.C.

Ah, Seth Cohen (Adam Brody): lover of bagels and clever puns. He's the nerd you couldn't believe you loved more than Ryan Atwood, ostensibly the heartthrob of The O.C. All right, Ryan was crazy-hot, but Seth is the one you could actually see yourself with.

06
Dylan McKay, Beverly Hills, 90210
Fox

Dylan McKay, Beverly Hills, 90210

Deep breaths. Between his piercing stare, his bad-boy attitude, and his voluminous hair, Dylan (Luke Perry) is practically the James Dean of the '90s.

08
Dixon Wilson, 90210
The CW

Dixon Wilson, 90210

Dixon (Tristan Wilds) is kind, a little bit immature, and totally buff. Who wouldn't want to stand next to him at homecoming?

09
Sean Hanlon, Breaker High
Paramount Pictures

Sean Hanlon, Breaker High

Before he became a big-screen sex symbol, Ryan Gosling played Sean Hanlon on the Canadian comedy Breaker High. Anyone who watched this definitely fantasized about being trapped on a cruise ship/high school with Sean.

10
Kieran Wilcox, Scream
MTV

Kieran Wilcox, Scream

Kieran is relatively new to my hypothetical high school dreams, but I would definitely pin up a picture of the mysterious hunk in my locker. Plus, the actor's name is Amadeus Serafini — how sexy is that?

11
Dean Forester, Gilmore Girls
Warner Bros.

Dean Forester, Gilmore Girls

Even if you're a self-declared Jess girl, you have to admit that you fell for Dean (Jared Padalecki) first. The small-town boy loves Rory so much! Be honest: you would have done anything to have him work at your local grocery store, too.

12
Jimmy Brooks, Degrassi: The Next Generation
Bell Broadcast

Jimmy Brooks, Degrassi: The Next Generation

Drake may be at the top of your playlist now, but back in the day, he was known as Aubrey Graham, and he played a student named Jimmy Brooks. I'll still never get over the shooting that leaves him wheelchair-bound.

13
Ryan Shay, Suburgatory
ABC

Ryan Shay, Suburgatory

Ryan Shay (Parker Young) never would have won any awards for being smart or especially humble, but he's damn sexy. Can you imagine walking down the hallway and seeing this scene? That's what I thought.

14
Logan Echolls, Veronica Mars
The CW

Logan Echolls, Veronica Mars

Sigh. I would be all over Logan Echolls (Jason Dohring) if he wasn't so perfect for Veronica. Sure, he's kind of a d*ck, but their chemistry is electric.

15
Sebastian Kydd, The Carrie Diaries
The CW

Sebastian Kydd, The Carrie Diaries

The beautiful Sebastian (Austin Butler) was not long for this world, as The Carrie Diaries was canceled after two seasons. His smile and style will live on.

16
Will Smith, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air
ABC

Will Smith, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air

Will (played by Will Smith, obviously) is such a goofball, but in the most endearing way possible. He's like the class clown who everyone loves but you're convinced is actually your soulmate.

17
Pacey Witter, Dawson's Creek
Warner Bros.

Pacey Witter, Dawson's Creek

I know Dawson is the "star" of the show, but Pacey (Joshua Jackson) is where it's at. He's funny, sensitive, and wise beyond his years.

18
Daniel Desario, Freaks and Geeks
Fox

Daniel Desario, Freaks and Geeks

Daniel Desario (James Franco) is a burnout, but damn, is he hot. He's a little too much of a bad boy, but who knows what he would have turned into if Freaks and Geeks had lasted? He could have become the class president!

19
Clark Kent, Smallville
Warner Bros.

Clark Kent, Smallville

Clark Kent (Tom Welling) = young Superman. You could have gone to high school with young Superman.

20
Michael Kelso, That '70s Show
Fox

Michael Kelso, That '70s Show

Ashton Kutcher got his start as dummy Kelso on That '70s Show, a character you totally would have made out with under the bleachers.

21
Finn Hudson, Glee
Fox

Finn Hudson, Glee

A piece of my heart will always belong to Finn, played by the late Cory Monteith. Kind, thoughtful, and talented, Finn was the ultimate package.

22
Stefan Salvatore, The Vampire Diaries
The CW

Stefan Salvatore, The Vampire Diaries

I know, I know. Stefan (Paul Wesley) isn't a teenager, but he has gone to high school . . . like a hundred times. Just tell me you wouldn't want that sitting next to you in the cafeteria.

23
Scott McCall, Teen Wolf
MTV

Scott McCall, Teen Wolf

Stiles is great and all, but Scott (Tyler Posey) loves his mom, he's supersweet with his girlfriend, he supports his friends, and he's #ripped.

24
Caleb Rivers, Pretty Little Liars
Freeform

Caleb Rivers, Pretty Little Liars

I would not kick Caleb (Tyler Blackburn) out of the science lab, if you catch my drift — especially since he got that haircut.

25
Harvey Kinkle, Sabrina the Teenage Witch
ABC

Harvey Kinkle, Sabrina the Teenage Witch

Poor Harvey (Nate Richert). He's always facing the brunt of Sabrina's tragic spells, despite his unparalleled ability to wear vests and not look like a total nerd.

26
Jordan Catalano, My So-Called Life
ABC

Jordan Catalano, My So-Called Life

Jordan Catalano (Jared Leto) was always destined to go down in history as one of the sexiest high school dummies of all time. He can't read, but it's not his fault! He's like the guy whose face you look at in the yearbook a decade later and pet.

27
Tommy Solomon, 3rd Rock From the Sun
NBC

Tommy Solomon, 3rd Rock From the Sun

Tommy (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) is weird, but then again, he's an alien learning to live on earth. Still, I'd so be down for him to be my astronomy tutor. (Too on-the-nose?)

28
Randy Taylor, Home Improvement
ABC

Randy Taylor, Home Improvement

Admit it: Jonathan Taylor Thomas's face was all over your locker. If his Home Improvement character went to your school, you would have fainted on a daily basis.

29
Lucas Scott, One Tree Hill
Warner Bros.

Lucas Scott, One Tree Hill

Sigh. Lucas (Chad Michael Murray) is the coolest of the cool. Just look at those dimples!
