  • On the shock of the "A" reveal: "I'm not just saying this to get you guys more excited about the finale, but it really is so bizarre," Hale told InStyle. "I think they might have been drunk when they came up with it. Because, I'm like, where did this come from? But it does sort of all make sense."
  • On the mystery surrounding Charles: "So, you kind of find out who that is, why they go by the name Charles, why they got involved, and why they’ve been tormenting us for five years. All of those questions finally get answered."
  • On the time jump: "[The creators] decided that they wanted to flash forward a little bit, so it’s about five years in the future. Still playing younger than I am, but glad to be playing an adult. Pretty much, it’s the girls living an "A"-free life for five years, and Alison begs them to come back to Rosewood.

  • On what it would be like to be "A": "I think whoever is the big villain, it's this iconic character in an iconic show," Morris explained to Zap2It. "So I think whoever does end up [being 'A'] — whether it’s me or not — it’d be something amazing to play."
  • On the big reveal: "Having spoken to [King] about it, I know Marlene’s got a really incredible plan. The genius of Marlene is that she knows exactly what she’s doing. She’s got a grand master plan in her head.”
  • On if Wren could feasibly be back on the show: "Could he come back? Absolutely. Have I spoken with Marlene about coming back? Yes, absolutely."

"She comes to find the girls to, basically, say let’s go put the pieces of the puzzle together. Mona’s [being] there is kind of the reason why they end up finding out what happened. Mona’s always lurking around, for better or for worse. In this case, it ends up being for good.

"You are going to come face to face with "A" . . . You're going to see "A"'s face, you're going to hear "A"'s story, you're going to see the who, the how, the why, everything. It's no lie."
  • On where the finale picks up: "The Pretty Little Liars are still at prom, and we go from there," King told The Hollywood Reporter. Like a speeding train."
  • On whether or not Wren is "A": "I love that rumor, that's all I'll say — I love Wren."
