When Michael (Jason Patric) first starts hanging out with the local vampires (headed by Kiefer Sutherland), they offer him some Chinese food. He starts eating some rice, only to discover that his carton is actually full of maggots. You can't blame the American Horror Story writers for putting their own spin on the scene; it's immensely disturbing.
