Fitz Murders Supreme Court Justice Verna

  • Season two, episode 13
  • What goes down: Supreme Court Justice Verna Thornton, one of the people who had orchestrated the Defiance scandal, is also the one who hired Becky to assassinate the president. Fitz is not thrilled when he learns of this information (obviously) and takes matters into his own hands. Actually, those matters happen to be Verna's hands, which he holds down after visiting her in the hospital, removing her oxygen mask, and watching as she suffocates to death. Verna is no peach, but killing her is a turning point for Fitz that he never recovers from.
