After going through the wringer with her marriage, divorce, and her pregnancies, April's exit is sudden but not tragic: she reunites with ex-love Matthew and heads off into the sunset. In hindsight, her departure becomes even less sad when she reappears a few years later during ex-husband Jackson's departure arc.
