Stand-up comedian Maria Bamford plays a fictionalized version of herself in original comedy Lady Dynamite. The series focuses on Maria after she moves back to Los Angeles following a six-month stint in recovery for bipolar disorder. Her mother, manager, and friends help her get her life back on track, but things don't go as smoothly as they imagined. Each of the 12 episodes features flashbacks that give insight to Maria's background, as well as the specific events that led to her mental break. A plethora of famous funny men and women guest star in the show, including Sarah Silverman, Tig Notaro, Patton Oswalt, John Mulaney, James Corden, Seth Meyers, and more.
