If you're looking for a Marvel superhero show that leans into the surreal, you won't need to look further than FX's "Legion." After being diagnosed with schizophrenia as a child, David Haller (Dan Stevens) has a history of being in and out of psychiatric hospitals. After the death of his friend Lenny Busker, a group of mutants at Summerland reveal to David that he's also a mutant like them. Other than the fact that its lead character has powers that he can't fully control (El vibes, anyone?), "Legion" is also similar to "Stranger Things" in that it has a throwback aesthetic (specifically, the '60s) despite evoking modern themes.
