The second season of this award-winning FX show is subtitled "Robbin' Season." Executive producer and writer Stephen Glover explained at the 2018 TCA Winter press tour that "robbin' season" is a time in the city of Atlanta right before Christmas when a lot of crimes happen.
"People just have more stuff, money, and people, you know, need money. So it's just a time where robberies go up, all kinds," Glover said. "Like, you might get your package stolen off your front porch. When we were there, a shooting. My neighbor got her car stolen out of her driveway. It's just like a very tense and desperate time. So we wanted to kind of make that the backdrop to the season, and our characters are kind of going through that same desperate type of transition from their old lives to where they are heading now."
