What happens when mean girls grow up? That's a big part of the story arc in "13 Going On 30," where a nerdy 13-year-old gets her wish to be a thriving 30-year-old. As a teenager, Jenna is awkward and hopeful to fit in, even letting the popular clique take advantage of her in hopes of being welcomed into their crew. After a magical birthday wish comes true, she wakes up 17 years in the future, in the body and life of her 30-year-old self. Although she's working at a fashion magazine and best friends with the former "queen bee," she's horrified to discover that, to achieve this life, she turned into a mean girl herself. Unsure if she can undo the magic that sent her to the future, Jenna sets out to reconnect with her childhood best friend Matt and make things right.
