After all the stuff with April (and her almost death), Jackson seems to have turned a new leaf. He's starting to think divine intervention saved April, and then he almost gets hit by a car. This really throws him for a loop, and he starts thinking about his mortality in a serious way. He blurts out an impromptu proposal to Maggie, who is like, "Um, WTF?"

By the end of the premiere, Jackson seems to have calmed down a bit. He tells Maggie he loves her, and she returns the sentiment. Aw!
