Mel has the ability to freeze time, which, as Harry says, is pretty common with control freaks. Her powers are connected to her emotions and currently only work when she's not angry. If the series goes the classic route, Mel's development of her abilities will center on learning to manipulate molecules. With more time, she'll likely be able to speed up molecules to the point that they explode, as well as reverberate them at a speed that causes them to rapidly heat up and either melt or burn. Of the three sisters, Mel is the most excited to learn about witchcraft and seems the most likely to explore brujeria. This may open doors to new abilities or practices for the witches.
