This isn't your childhood version of King Arthur. Camelot's version of the legendary king and his court is much more Game of Thrones than Disney. After the old king's death, his son Arthur, raised as a commoner, takes the throne and tries to build a better kingdom while fighting off threats of dark magic, violent uprisings, and a dangerously ambitious sibling. There's definitely a touch of the Camelot mythos underlying GOT — albeit a much darker, twisted, and cynical version — and this series taps into a similar vein of heroes being pulled into some pretty dark places. Will light or darkness prevail? Only time will tell.
