It Looks Like The Walking Dead Is Headed For Another War in the Midseason Trailer

We're only days away from the midseason premiere of The Walking Dead and there are so many questions we need answers to. When we last see our not-so-merry band of survivors, they're kind of all over the place. Six years after the "death" of their leader, they're trying to keep their separate communities stable when a new group of survivors at Alexandria brings them straight into the crosshairs of another enemy. Season nine's "Evolution" not only sees the death of Paul "Jesus" Rovia but also the emergence of the deadliest big bad of the series — the Whisperers. It's a lot to take in!

With the premiere of episode nine on Sunday, Feb. 10, we'll be diving right back into the heat of the action. AMC released a brief look at the upcoming episode in which Michonne and Daryl go Whisperer hunting in hopes of learning how to differentiate them from actual walkers. They kick ass, as usual, and corner a young woman who is most likely Lydia, the daughter of the Whisperers' mysterious leader Alpha. We actually get to see and hear Alpha in the midseason trailer and she immediately proves she isn't around to play any games. "Your people crossed into our land. Your people killed our people," she says in the trailer. "There will be conflict." Yikes.

We can't wait to see how The Walking Dead handles these lethal enemies and just how far from the comics the show will go. Since the series has already been renewed for season 10, we have no doubt the rest of season nine will keep us on our toes in anticipation for the next chapter. Check out the new footage for the show ahead and get ready for the premiere on Sunday, Feb. 10.
