Euphoria Addresses Some Very Real Issues, but Not Without a Few Moments of Comic Relief

When Rue and Jules's (Hunter Schafer) relationship begins to grow stronger in the fifth episode, they visit Ashtray (Javon "Wanna" Walton) to get matching tattoos of "Rules," a portmanteau of their names. But when Jules sees the final ink on the inside of Rue's bottom lip, she looks a bit mortified. "I love you, Rue, but there's no f*cking way I'm doing that," she says. And then, well, she does it anyway. Ah, to be a teenager.
